Greater Imani means home to me. The feeling I get when I walk through the doors of Greater Imani is identical to how I feel when I walk through the doors of my house and sometimes better. I know it is not the building that is welcoming me home, but my sisters and brothers that greet me with smiles and hugs. Sometimes I don't know their names, only their faces, but thats ok because the faces show love. Home is my spiritual daddy the Apostle that greets me with a word from God that guides me through any obstacle that arises in my busy days. My spiritual mother the First Lady who can just smile that beautiful serene smile and bring you peace. I cut on my radio and the choir sings a song to lift my spirits. We have  a family reunion and everyone get together and worship and praise the one true God and give thanks for his son. Sometimes we find family that we didn't know we had and they join the reunion. When I leave Home and go back to work in the world, I know I am covered. I know I am loved and most of all I know that I can return home anytime I need or want to. HOME, that is what Greater Imani mean to me.

Greater Imani means hope ,faith,family,and trust.You see I joined Greater Imani about two years ago and I've been away for a long while.I can tell you from personal experience that the Greater Imani family is not fake.I also joined the Greeting committee and although Ihave yet to greet my first member,I still get an e-mail of every event and or meeting the Greeting committee is involved with.I look at my email and say oh my God they are still thinking of me as a Greeter.God has a calling on my life,and he hasn't forsaken me,I want to do his will and come back to Greater Imani;my family.I know Greater Imani means alot of things to so many people,but to me Greater Imani means survival.

Wow, where do I start? Greater Imani means the world to me. Greater Imani has taught me how to love, believe and prepare for a greater tomorrow. When I first came to Greater Imani I was 22 years old, I was very inexperience in my love for Christ. Now I am passionately in love with Christ Jesus from the depths of my soul.  Greater Imani has taught me to believe in the unbelieveable, to reach for the unreachable to start a foundation where no there is no hope. Greater Faith means the world to me, that's why in all I do I will be faithful and serve Greater Imani just like Christ was and still is faithful to me. To be more Christ like I will serve Greater Imani and do I all I can do better this house of GOD.

Greater Imani is where I come when I want to be around Christ like people, my family the members of Greater Imani. I thank God for the vision of Apostle Adkins. Without this vision I do not want to think about where my husband and I might be today. Greater Imani is a holy place, a place where we as a people will continue to grow spiritually, mentally and financially to change the world.  I have so many visions and dreams now because of the holy spirit, the word and teachings that I have received at Greater Imani. Thanks, Greater Imani for teaching me the greatest gift of all and that's love.

My Mother passed away in 2002and I was lost. I have a boat load of cousins but my strongest link was gone. It was at that time I ran into Lucille Pratcher for the second time. She was as loving as always but this time around she always had a hug for me and a shoulder to lean on.

As a surprise to her we got the boys together (3) and made it to Greater Imani. Standing right there at the door was none other than Lucille. She's a Mother of the church but a second Mother to me. We had decided to join the church and when it came that time to join. Mother was right there to lead us to the alter call.

Greater Imani means Family and strength. I don't know where I would be without the teaching of Apostle and his Ministers. Too make it even better. Over Seer Douglas is the jewel of Greater Imani. She has talked to me on several occaisions and has been a great help to me.

To top it off. I got to help and drive down to LA to help after Hurricane katrina. I saw it first hand. I got to see people just wanting water. We had all kinds of items but the people wanted the water the most. I learned about giving and being a help to someone. I try to be a help to anyone I can but I never did that before. I learned to be a better person from Greater Imani. I'm a better man, and father because of Greater Imani and Apostle. I thank GOD for him and my church family.

I began with the church when pastor and wife were in Frayser, at a small church. It was wonderful because everyone helped and knew each other. The membership did grow and some of us continued the journey with pastor. I was not apart of any auxiliary but motivated by a member to join or continuously pushed. When the church moved to Midtown, I felt a little lost because of the comfort of a small church, but pastor continued his mission to help others and provide for the community. That's what got me interested in Greater Imani, all the community activities, the road trips and just the active participation of the members. I stay today because my spirit still enjoys the message pastor gives and wanting to develop a stronger dependence on my heavenly father.
